For Ford rear ends with factory limited slip.
I read and read the instructions, but could not figure out how to get the spider gears to come out since all it says is "remove the spider gears and their thrust washers". I called Powertrax and got the answer.
With the pinion shaft, C-clips and clutch spring out, push the axle ends back in to engage the side gears. Put the transmission in park, then rotate both tires in the same direction. This rotates the case until the spider gears fall out.
Additionally, there are two very thin washers (thrust washers) after the clutch plates, that are hard to see, and need to come out.
These were the only two snags in the install. Otherwise it went as smooth as promised in the paperwork.
