Look for a product named "Westley's Bleche Wite" It's amazing, spray on, rub with a medium to hard sponge, and it's clean. I do my whole tire before I put a coat of tire wax on them.

I second teh Bleche White. I found a really old bottle that was several years old and used it on some tires and it still worked, so now tahts what I use. If you have black marks on the tire you might want a bristle brush orf some type to scrub it on, then rinse off.

Damp SOS pad works great too..

I second Turtle Wax Tire wax. Same thing I use, more than happy. It eliminated the need for two coats of tire wax that other products recommend. One coat leaves a deep black shine.

First of all welcome to the board. Hope you will have as much fun here as we do. There is a lot of information here.

As for cleaning the white letters you can use what I have used. ROCKS, When I first got my Big "O" tires the white looked good, but after a couple trips to the mountains you can't hardly see the white anymore. Rocks rub the white off no worry about keeping them clean. It's a lot better to fourwheel then clean wheels. he,he!!

I still say using Simple Green. Not only does it clean the tires(gets the brown off) and whiten, but it is biodegradable. Makes you and the treehuggers happy. Try it.

i work at a Detail shop. Get a wire brush like one you would clean your grill with. use that and a cleaner, we use "green stuff" same as simple green. they will look newer than when you got them!

Any kind of tile cleaner works, but not tolet cleaner.haha Use some all purpose cleaner, and a brush. lata

what do you mean your a gimp? I dont get it.

You know, I tried that with my firestones, but it didn't work as well as I had hoped, so I just had to replaced them. :)

How about a p;ane ole SOS pad. Has worked for me for years.

Goos luck...

When I run out of bleach white, I use Shout -the laundry stuff. w/ a stiff scrub brush
-works great

Wire brush sounds a little rough for me?

I'm bringing this back to life cause I accidentally found something. I had used Westleys for quite some time now and have found a product that actually seemed to work better with less effort.

Eagle one has a new all in one WHEEL cleaner. It is a flourescent orange bottle. Spray that on your tire and let soak for a min or two...then spray off...it's amazing. I scrub a little because mine get really dirty, but I used it on my fiances tires, and when you start to rinse...it's crazy how much crap comes off.

A definate recommend.
