Year, Model & Trim Level
04 xlt
Hi All,

I have a 04 XLT that I bought about a month ago. Everything was fine until I noticed the the valve stem on the right rear tire was cracked and leaking air.
I took in to be repaired and now when you start the truck the TPMS light flashes then goes out(I don't remember it doing this before). Once in a while the ABS light comes on and will not go out until I shut off the truck and restart it. It does this randomly. Also now the cruise control does not work either.
My question is, is all this stuff related to each other and/or did the shop not reset something correctly?

Thank You,
Todd

So what did they do to correct the leak? The tps is part of the stem. Did they replace the whole thing?

Yes the whole thing was replaced as well as the stem caps

As long as the tire pressure light doesn't come on while you are driving its good.

A flashing light may indicate the system never learned the new sensor was there. As for cruise and abs...I suspect a wheel speed sensor, but without true diagnosis that is a best guess.
