Tire Size change

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me with some info regarding the gear ratio.

The stock tires for my 95 x are 225-70-15 which are 27 inch tall

My X now has 255-70-15 which are 29 inch tall

Do I have to change anything?

Will my speedometer work OK with the tire size change?

Will appreciate the advise.

i think for ur year.. ur going to have to change ur speedo gear tooth. im not quite sure exactly how u do it.. but try a search for it.. it has be discussed before

I wouldn't change anything. The difference in tire size is not large enough to warrant any changes to the speedo. (For me at least)

I've seen 2 other people do this and their speedos ended up dead accurate, like they were about 3-4 mph fast from the factory. After you do the swap, test your speedo/odo against some highway marker signs and see if it's off.
