Tire size?

Hey yall i have a 1997 mercury mountaineer...and i was wondering what size tires i could fit on it...with the ride height being stock?...if ne ideas please respond and also i have another question....with a 3inch body lift what size tire could i fit?

30x9.5's will definately fit. Some members have fit 31x10.5 with little or no rubbing. With a 3 inch BL you could probably run 32's or 33's if you keep them at 10.5 wide.

I had 32x11.50x15 on stock 15x7 wheels, I now run 325x65x15(31x12.50x15) they both only rubs the front swaybar a small amount Now I am tring to find 15x8.5 or 15x9 with 4.5 inch backspace, but I have no lift on it. My 1996 I had to crank the bars up and add a AAD before they would clear. but sometimes what fits mine wont fit yours! Try to find a tire shop that will try differant size tires until you find what you like!
