OK, I saw the tire chart, but it seems this is for clearance only. What about bumping up otherwise?
I know rule of thumb is one step up in tire width (ie 75 to 70) allows one step up in diameter (ie 235 to 245) and no speedo changes required, etc.
On a stock 96 4wd, 4dr, what sizes fit the wheel wells without a problem and without mods? I do a lot of towing, so anything that changes final ratio to the road will cause me problems, but I could use more tracktion off road.... How wide can it go and at what diameter??
I also do this towing on the hiway, so I'm going to compromise with ride quality concerns too, but the extra width may help, with a good tread pattern.
PS - stock alum wheels 15 inch.
