1993 Explorer XLT
good afternoon,

I'm new and this is my first post. i recently traded in my 1993 explorer XLT for a sharp loaded black 1999 explorer XLT. From my reading on this board and other research, I have decided to detail it with the ZAINOS line of products. Also, to use 303 on the interior.

I was hoping you could recommend products for my tires, the leather interior, and the cleaning and treating of the windows.

Thanks in advance for your time and posts.

I use the Zaino tire product on my tires as well as the interior parts.

Its the best i have seen yet.

Give it a shot.

Sorry, forgot to address the glass care.

The best I have ever found is a homemade product - an equal mix of white vinegar and isopropol alcohol. It works great.

yeah, i use the pinnacle leather treatment that gimp mentioned - its great stuff; i would definately recommend it.

Does anyone use Zaino leather treatment?

I just ordered some....

I do...I don't know if it works any better than Mothers but it smells good.
Meguiars Endurance last quite awhile on tires. Which is good cause you gotta wipe it on rather than spray it on.

Thing I've realized about glass, its not really what you use, but how you remove it. Newspaper works the best for shining glass, ot will almost never streak. Paper towels are second, and cloth towels are a distant third. Keep in mind that you shouldnt use the newspaper or paper towels on anything plastic, just the window glass. What I usually do is agetate with a cloth, then polish with the newspaper. Wear rubber gloves to avoid getting the newsprint on your hands.

As for the tires, I use the Eagle One Wet shine that Gimp mentioned.

And for leather, I use Connoly Hide Food.

Happy cleaning!
