I have a 93 Eddie Bauer 2wd and I want some beefier tires. It doesnt have a lift at all but my question is this: If I raised the front 2 inches to level it what are the biggest all-terrain tires i can fit on it?

i wouldn't go any bigger then 31x10.50, anything else and it will rub for sure

Unless you don't mind triming, 31 is about it :)

Ok thanks I think I'm going with 30x9.5

but now i have a question about leveling it...

I know i need the spacers, and then I need to get an alignment done... but every offroad shop I go to tries to charge me an outrageous price for the alignment and sell me other parts like shocks or bushings or whatever they can think of to get my money. I can install the leveling kit but the alignment is out of my hands.

My question is: What is the cheapest way to get it leveled so that I can put on new wheels and tires?

Ok thanks I think I'm going with 30x9.5

I'd go ahead and get the 31"s man...as soon as you get them you'll think "hmm...still look small" lol

Granted...no matter how big you get you'll think they look tiny after awhile :p:

i got a 1992 Ford Explorer XLT 4 door 2wd, and i can tell you stock i could have never got 31's on. this is with 2" Skyjacker springs/custom shackles and 31/10.50's...

im going to put on a 3in. bl next with some 33's ! the 31's are to small !

31s on stock wheels and ull be fine

i bet they rub on a 2wd. stock rims or not. they might, but id put money on no...

sorry bud, but your alignment is gonna be expensive, cause if you modify the susp. your gonna need those bushings, were i work an alignment with both frt bushings installed is about $150-$175, and if you raise the sups. your probably gonna need longer shocks to!

Well first of all, I wasnt planning on using stock wheels...

but anyways how much would the alignment bushings be? and where can I order the cheapest leveling kit from?

also I'll post pics when i get the rims and tires

the bushings themselves are like 15-20 a peice, but shops charge quite abit to replace them

ok does anyone know the best online store that i can order the bushings and the leveling kit from? or is it just as cheap to buy it in town?

you really won't know which bushing is going to work best for the alignment until you have it on a rack and the machine hooked up

Can I get the bushings at a local parts store?

Also instead of getting spacers to level it... can I just get springs? and where?

Will 31's fit without the leveling kit?
