Until recently I was running 17x9 Cobra R wheels with 31x1150x17 Mickey Thompson Baja Belted Radials. They also make a 34x1150x17 tire of the same type. The cheapest place I found them was http://www.tyres1.com They ride pretty well, have a nice hum on the freeways, and look mean as hell.
BFG has the AT KO's in a LT265/70R17 and a 37x12.50-17!! The BFG Long Trails are available in both P265/70R17 and P275/60R17. I found this information at http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com.
Yes, I would recommend the Longtrails. Good, quality tire for a cheap price. They handle everything well except, yes, mud. Tacky mud isnt much of a problem as long as you stay moving, but slick wet mud really messes them up.
