I'm thinking about lifting my 91 four dour explorer three inches with a body lift. I know alot of ya'll have them out here and i was wondering if someone could help me. I might want to put four inches if i can get alot more tire. Another qyestion is alot of ya'll gettinf rest right infront of the rear tire?

3" should be the highest you go with a body lift. Be aware that potential problems are: binding steering linkage, bumper relocation, and manual shifter extension. Some of the body bolts are fairly hard to get to also, I'm told.

With 3" of lift, you can easily fit 31's, and possibly 32's, although they'll be a little tight.

I have the same rust problem on my 91. It is very common. The only way to solve it correctly is to cut it out and replace it.
