i just installed a 3inch jd bII lift on my explorer, and the tires are a little out like this / \. Could it be that the coils are sagging a little giving it negative camber. If so i just ordered the f150 coil spacers from ford and that should even it out if so, right? how do i find out whats wrong, where can i look? if thats not the problem, ive been reading that my alignment is off or i need new shims. What are shims?, where are they on the suspension? and what type of alignment could i need? please help guys.

a regular alignment using eccentric camber/caster cams..... they are located on the upper balljoint of your front suspension... if you did a lift, they are probably off, also, adding the f150 spacers should fix the problem, however, with 5" of lift, i hope that your lift kit has differential drop brackets, or it wont work at all! and alignment will be more horrible and destroy tires left and right

yeah my lift did come with drop brackets. good so the f150 spacers will work? thanks. also should i go get it aligned later anyways?

thanks
--- you have a totally different setup on your truck...... its not the ecentric cams used on the first gens......

nice92x, yes get an alignment... it may look level to the eye. but you wont know for sure.... a computers eye, is normally more accurate than a human eye (unless it is really broken)

because the f150 spacers are 4x2 will they fit my 4x4, they look plenty strong and there made of cast iron.
