'92 XLT - '02 EB
I am new to this great forum of other exploder lovers. I recently bought an '02 EB and am transforming my '92 XLT from family vehicle to something fun I can play in the So. Cal. desert. I'm waiting (somewhat impatiently) for my 2" lift to show up that will sit on my 31x10.5's. My question is, should I put in spacers to widen my wheel base? Technically, I don't have to. The tires fit fine, but I'm wondering about pros/cons from people who may have done a mild lift and have either used, or have an opinion about using spacers. We've all heard exploders being inherently prone to rolling over (for whatever reason) so is this a consideration? Or should I leave it alone and still enjoy that nice turning radius that other trucks don't have? Thanks in advance for any opinions/advice!

A wider stance may make you feel a little less body roll - but wheels that stick out further or spacers that stick wheels out further will put more stress on your wheel bearings - which are sealed and cost a pretty penny. I'd say leave it

Welcome to the site!

from what i hear, you should be fineif you stay at a 31 or 32" tire. they do add stress, but people run 35's and even 37's which wiegh alot more then spacers and 31's

go for it!
