hi all. just brought 1999 north face with gas conversion it needs sorting out but not to much.
when i picked it up it was low on petrol and misfiring so i went to put some petrol in and got wet feet. filler neck was rusted .it had been into a ford dealer as it had broken down on previous owner. they had replaced fuel pump and spark plugs as recommended by AA.then told him it needed new cats as still not running properly.so they removed the cats and reworked the pipes so it would run for him to get it home.they charged him £750 and said it will need another £700 spent on it for exhaust etc.
so it was still misfiring when i got it home.turned out ford dealer had put spark plug leads back in wrong order .so now i have replaced the filler neck put the leads on in correct order it now runs fine on gas but i still need to sort out as not running well on petrol .
so next time i tell the wife i am going to the gas station she wont tell me its the petrol station your not in America now.
cheers Chris
