I have seen minivan explode 10 mins after it started burrning... Someone in the crowd said that it will pop once gas tank is empty, and so it did, did not move the van though, just a loud pop.

it look's like the opne in the back would be fixable atleast but man that's sad to see

Fighting the fire was made difficult due to the intensity of the blaze, which was hot enough to melt the steel diesel tanks, and the presence of the magnesium engine blocks. dispatched to complete the assignment.

the whole paragraph doesnt make any sense, what is that last sentence supposed to mean??

diesel has a higher ignition temperature than gasoline. for example, if you drop a match into a bucket of gasoline, it will explode, obviously. however, if you drop a match into a bucket of diesel, the match will go out, because the match isnt hot enough to ignite the fuel.
