We have owned our 98 Mountaineer since new, but have had it stored for years, so it is low mileage and in overall great shape. Now out of storage we are bringing it back to as close to new as possible. It has the 4.0 SOHC engine, trailer tow package with limited slip rear, and most if not all factory options. We will use it as an 'airport car', and to pull a small Fiberglas camper. My wife and I are both retired, both pilots, live in the Smoky Mountains where 4wd is necessary, and have always liked the functionality of the second generation Explorer/Mountaineer. It is very capable off road, and comfortable as well. I'd post a picture if I could figure out how!
