I have a 96 4x4 I tried the turning it and listening for two clicks. It still seems like its not seated all the way on. Tried to put transmission and it lacks about an inch to the dowel pins. Anyone else have an issue like this. I need help or this truck is done. Thanks.

I fought a TC in a A4LD for over an hour one time....

It's ridiculous.

The trick that finally got it in, pull up slightly (im talking like maybe 1 lb. of upward pressure) on the TC as you rotate it, and it will free up, and drop in..

What's happening is 2 input shafts/TC splined outputs are turning at the same time, not allowing them to move independantly, and drop right in.

I'll try that tomorrow and see if it helps. Thanks.
