If the torque value for the three Torx screws that hold the Separator Plate to the Valve Body are listed anywhere I sure can't find the values.

Anyone?

im thinking they are 120 inch pounds

The FORD A4LD manual as well as the 4R44/55/5R55 Manual state 53-71 inch lbs. I was curious when I saw the above reply for in my mind I was remembering torqueing them to 70 inch lbs.

Use 70 inch lbs. Yer covered either way.

I just looked in my 5R55E ATSG manual (page 119), and saw the 53-71 lb. in. torque recommendation that Glacier just mentioned. I wonder why my 4R44E/4R55E had a different torque rating listed? It also had something else that I was curious about. On page 120 it says that the 5R55E's intermediate band is backed off 2.5 turns, but still recommends that the front band is backed off 2.0 turns. All of the things that I've seen so far say to back them off 2.0 turns.

You ask someof the best (and sometimes most frustrating questions.) Mind you I build A4LD's and am working an a couple of frankentrannies and the 4R70W.... so I have NEVER actually had to research the 5R55 details.... your post made me curious.

The FORD factory manual on tyhe 4r/5r is inches thick in a 3 ring binder. I consider it the bible... so I decided to check out what you noted. Here is what it says...

Lloosen the screw exactly two turns (except 95/98) or two and one half turns (95-98) and maintain that position."

I'll be damned. I need to go back and correct some recent advice I posted.

Why the difference? I have no idea.

Thanks for the inquiring mind Brooklyn.

So does that mean all 95-98 4R44E/4R55E/5R44E/5R55E intermediate bands are 2.5 turns, but not any other years after this? By the way, while I was already reading the 5R55E ATSG manual, I came across the reason why the EPC, and TCC solenoids are different. Do you remember the other thread about the super expensive EPC? The new design EPC, and TCC use something called Inductive Signature (ISIG) for diagnosis, so that is the reason it is not interchangeable with the previous models.

That would be my read on it.
