Hi
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions. I was driving down the road when I noticed my oil pressure gauge going down to zero then back up and this keep going on for about 5 miles then the car shut down while driving so i put in neutral and it started back up. Drove another couple miles and shut of again. The oil level was right on the money. So I had to have it towed but when I opened the hood i could see smoke and smelled plastic burning it was coming from the starter. So I pulled the starter off and sure enough the solenoid wire and plastic cap was burnt up. I put the new starter on and it still didn't start, so I took the alternator off and had them bench test it and it fail and when he had it in the tester it was making a loud noise. I put a new alternator on and still wont start. So I check the fuses and found the #39 15 AMP Injectors, Fuel pump relay was not hot when on or start positions but the fuse was not blown, I switched it with another 15 AMP but still nothing. I was wondering if its possible that my alternator made the starter burn up and also caused other damage? Like maybe it fried my PCM, crank sensor, cam sensor? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
