I have an 01 4dr 4x4 explorer and uhaul will not let me use my vehicle to tow my car. But i noticed on the specifications website from ntrprize it shows no max or standard load for this. Why is that and what can i do to tow my car. I have to go from Denton, TX to Corsicana, TX, about 2 hrs. I am towing an escort zx2. Thanks. And I couldn't think of any other places that would rent just a tow dolly. Any suggestions? Thanks

It's not that your car cannot handle it it is that uhaul has a policy not to rent to ford explorers. dont know what to tell you though good luck

Yep... you're SOL with Uhaul. Their decision to no longer rent to Explorers has been the subject of much discussion on this forum. You'll have to find another (non-Uhaul) trailer rental place or replace your explorer emblem with a mountaineer emblem...eventhough they are the exact same truck they'll rent to a mountie but not an explorer.
