I have a 2005 Explorer Limited that I picked up about 6 months ago. This Explorer had just a few miles over 13,000 on the odometer - check "carfax" it really has been unbelievable. But just recently the TPMS sensor light is on - I checked the pressure in all four tires - all were within 1 lb of each other. Sometimes after you drive for 10 miles or so the light goes out and does not come back on until the ignition is shut orr. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

yea sounds like a bad sensor maybe someone used a tire sealant cause they will kill sensors so check those

Cold weather make the TPMS light to come on in my parent's, and my cousin's, 4Runners. Maybe it is the same deal in your case...?

Yea...ummmm....im gonna need you to make sure you put the cover on those TPS reports okay?

LMAO I had todo it....TPMS reminded me of it.

My moms escape did it on occasion when it was cold, but usually once she started driving, it would go away

mine will come on sometimes when its really cold, i inflate to 36psi, i 'think' if it drops below 30ish it will trigger. I've had it where one tire is about 32psi in warm weather and during a cold snap the PSI will drop down to 29psi and go off once it warms up a little and the PSI come back up.

I also heard the BATTERY can cause it. If it gets really cold it doesn't put out enough volts to run the thing. As the battery warms up the volts come back and it starts working again.
