so I have a 2007 sport trac limited with the factory trailer tow package. I hooked a trailer to it for the first time and the lights won't work. I replaced all the trailer related fuses and am still not getting power. What should I be looking for? ( the lights were on parking lamps while doing this )

Is there power to the fuse (fuses) that you checked? I believe you want to be in the under dash fuse box, #7 and #25, both blue colored 15 AMP fuses, If good there, do you have any power (parking lights, turn signals) to the flat 4 blade receptacle? How about to the round 7 pin? These two connectors form a Y-cable that connects to another harness that I believe is on the passenger side frame rail. Easiest to see with the spare tire lowered - maybe disconnected or damaged there? Also, may sound like a dumb question, but was the trailer hitched to the truck at the time? (grounding reference)

I replaced every fuse that had anything to do with trailer. Haha and yes it was hooked up to the truck. I didn't try the 4 flat. It's too far under it for the trailer connector. I got a 4 flat to 7 round connector. I took a power probe to both connectors with the parking lights on and didn't get anything.

Isn't there a couple of fuses and a relay under the hood too? As well, on mine the crappy design of the 4 pin connector caused the wires to get cut slightly above the mounting bracket. You couldn't see it until you crawled under the truck. The 7 pin was still 100% functional.

Wow, excellent questions.

So I used the trailer and of course my old truck started acting up. So I went and got the Sport Trac and hooked everything up and the lights magically work now. So I guess it fixed itself. Thank you all for the replies
