I have a 1998 Explorer. It has a 5-way trailer light harness installed. I don't know why it has the auxiliary power running into it. When the trailer is connected, the trailer lights stay on, even if the vehicle is off and all the lights are off. Turn signals work fine, but the brake light is always on, like the running lights are on, and the brake light is on, even if the car is off.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!

The harness is a Hopkins "Hoppy" Lite Mate-- Ford Explorer.

All Better

The trailer light power adapter that was previously installed was 10 years old and shorted out. I replaced the Hopkins power adapter, and bypassed the old set up. Everything works fine. :salute:
