Tranny Choices?

Ok I have fried the trans in the "X". It is a 93 XLT 4x4 with auto. I'm going to be heading out to find a replacment from a salvage yard. Is there anything specifically I should look for besides the mileage? Basically, is there a difference between the 91,92,93,& 94 years? Although right now the rig is stock, I do plan to lift it and add 33's, so strength is foremost in my mind.

93-94 is your best bet, the 91-92 A4LD is weaker internally.

Thanks, I need all the luck i can get. Just in case I find one already out of a truck, are there any markings or a tag that would tell me the year?
