Tranny Leak

If you do pull it and decide NOT to rebuild it and just replace the bell as I described, do 3 things - you will thank me later. 1) REPLACE the Servos (OD and intermediate) while you have it out, and adjust the bands afterwards. 2) Up the OD servo size to a "ZC" size (not available when the A4LD was made). and 3) as Brooklyn Bay suggests, replace the pilot in the flexplate.

Thanks for the machine shop...Is it the one on Market Blvd in Sac? O and How many servos all together do I need to get? And I've been searching for servos and can't seem to find one that is the size "ZC"

OK thats what I thought. SO I want the stock size servo for one and the bigger servo for the overdrive? And the covers and o rings are the same as stock?

I noticed a pretty large leak coming from between were the tranny bolts up to the block. It started out of nowwhere and I havn't noticed any difference in driving. No change in shifting. What could this leak be and how can I fix it. Any ideas.

I think its called a rear main seal leak...my husband just got his fixed...you have to drop the tranny.

WRONG. THIS IS AN EB PISTON> YOU NEED A ZC PISTON AND AN AB PISTON>

Tell me what you think.

See above. PLUS YOU NEED A ZC COVER.

Thanks for the help I will order up the parts and tell all you how the update went.

Let me know and I can loan you a tool that maekes replacing the servos MUCH easier.

Yea that would be great...anything that will make the job any easier. Thanks for answering all my questions.

NP, that's what I do here.

So what size should I drill out the weep hole in the bellhousing.

Thanks for the research...really helped me out. The parts should be here soon and I will start the project. I will tell you all how its goin. thanks

Alright...so I started the teardown. I droped the tranny and this is what I ended up seeing. First off the Torque converter didn't come out with the bellhousing. It stayed up with the flywheel. So how do I get the torque converter out so I can get to the flywheel spacer and replace. Or is this even worth doing. Also I replaced the overdrive/Intermediate servos with the new ones. What do I have to do to adjust the bands like it was said before. I got the old servos out and installed the new ones with the snap ring and all. So is this all I need to do with them? Just a little confussed....

Next is pulling off the pump assembly. The allen bolts are soooooooo tight and I can't break them loose. I will try latter just tired.

Glacier991 Will Omegas tool alighn the pump assembly? And does the new housing come with the seal aleady installed with the bushing. Or will I have to install the new seal myself?

Help me out as fast as you guys can because I need to get this done as fast as I can.
