I have made a post like this before but I would really like a second opinion. I noticed that I have a slight oil leak where the rear drive shaft connects to the gearbox on my explorer. I took it to my dealership and they lifted it up and had a look underneath and confirmed I did, and told me a seal needs to be replaced. They also said that the oil level was fine and it was safe to drive.
Does anyone know any different? ....they are getting the part in, in a few days....

From your description that sounds like the leak is in the transfer box and not the gearbox. If the dealer has checked the level and says it's ok then don't worry. Your only talking about a few days. It doesn't look too hard to change the seal. They can weep for ages without a problem. A very small amount of oil can spread a long way and look worse than it is. All the best.

thanks

thanks.....:-) yeah i mean its not leaking all over the place but you can see its wet if you look under the car......

yeah i just dont wanna brake it :-)
