tranny mount

should there be any play in the trans. mount?

i have a thump under moderate acceleration when it shifts into 3rd and a little bit going into O.D.

anyway, i got underthere to check the mount and when i push up on the transfer case and the tranny the mount moves quite a bit, but the bolts are tight and rubber doesn't appear to be torn.

is it just worn out?

i'm thinking about replacing just to see if the sound goes away

Oh man, go get a mount from the part store and replace it.
You might also replace the motor mounts.....


Exxcessive play = NO good.
