tranny problems again full story

is there something really wrong with M5R1 5speeds or what all i have is a lil old 93 explorer with 31s and i had my tranny rebuild bout 4months ago and bout 2months after reverse went out in it ok thats fine drained it got all the metal out and filled it back up kept drivein it well 4th of july night im on my way home its raining was going down a hill maybe 30mph down shifted to 2nd to start slowing down before i got to the stop sign and when i let out of the clutch all of a sudden the tranny locks down whitch in turns locks up my rear tires and i go slideing into a ditch ( great 4th of july huh) well not havein any reverse i cant back up so i put it in first and let out of the clutch and it blogs it down i fire it back up give it another go i get it going in 1st fine get to the stop sign turn left and keep going only 1/2 mile from home at this point go to put it into 2nd and it starts makein this knocking noise then bam there it goes no 2nd gear great i thought went to put it into 3rd nothing there 4th nothing there 5th nothing there so i put it back in first and start going again but only bout 100ft then it stops i put it back in 1st to try to get it on home i can see my house at this point only bout 100yards away i put it in first and let out the clutch dont even touch the gas and it starts slowly rollin turn on my flashers to warn if any traffic comes get bout half way there i try to give it gas and it just revs up and dont go no faster almost like the clutch was slipping get turned into my street and then i have nothing it wont move wont go no where had to push it the rest of the way been sittin ever sence i can go out and crank it fine it runs fine but even with it in netral and the clutch pushed it and knocks and grinds and makes the most alful noises so tranny is shot i know dont even try to move in any gear at all well ive decided to get a used tranny and drive it for a lil while then sell it or trade it in so far used trannys are scarse and expensive ive found a 5speed and manual shift T-case from a 89 ranger with a 4.0L is this the same tranny ? will it bolt up ? 300bucks for tranny and T-case is it worth it? somebody let me know whats up with the crappy M5R1's and let me know if this one from the ranger will work

Don't you have a warranty on the tranny rebuild?

Can't say for sure what tranny is in that 89, as the 4.0L never came stock in a Ranger until 1990. May have been swapped in.
