tranny question.....

Hey there, so I picked up my 03 sport trac a couple of weeks ago with the intent of pulling our small trailer and hauling the fam damily around for this camping season. Tonight I installed another tranny cooler and after doing a bunch of research on the site I was going to attempt a tranny pan drop and oil/filter change. I guess for some reason I assumed that I would have the 2 piece drain plug and I even picked up a 1/4 fitting to put the fluid back in....but I done have a drain plug.

I guess my question is what model of tranny would I have and whats the best/easiest way to get the last bit of fluid in.

Thanks for the info, just a quick question though. It states by those specs that I should have the 5R55W5 trans but when I search this site I keep finding that this trans should not have a dipstick but mine does. Could mine actually be a late 2002 version or something? Is there another way to 100% see what I have?

The "SportTrac" doesn't necessarily follow the generation breaks of the "Explorer" -- an example of this is the rear axle. So you might have the 5R55E, instead of the W.
