trying to remove the tranny from my wifes 94 with a 4.0,I have everything apart and can seperate the tranny from the motor but it seems to be hung up on something,I can't see anything and I didn't see any bolts that hold the torque converter to the flywheel. Am I missing something, please help.

four nuts hold the convertor to the flywheel. if you haven't already removed the starter; do it now. then you can rotate the engine with a pry bar through the hole where the starter was to remove the four nuts.

I'm guessing that you have removed the exhaust, unplugged all the necessary wires, and are doing everything safely ?

....jjf

sometimes we get in a hurry and don't bother to get a repair manual or read a few pages on the explorer forum. most questions and problems have been discussed numerous times. just an 'aside' from unkle jackie on a Tuesday night...:D
