Okay, I got the trans swapped in ( thank you Albino94LTD ). Now that thats all in and working Ive started getting a check light.
When scanned I get code 41 HEGO (HO2S) sensor voltage low, system lean. Will this burn up pistons?
What the hell is that? The shop that I had do the swap was a friend of mine and he told me that he has never had such a PITA in his shop. ( I think he just doesnt like exploders ) The pass side exaust manifold-to-pipe had a rusted bolt that wouldnt let go for anything. He had to cut it out and put a "thru bolt in." Also the range selector shaft in the valve body had such a slight bend in it that it wouldnt shift in to park. He had to open it all back up and swap in the same part from the old trans. Not to worry, everything works great now. Im very happy with the end result. It feels so much better. I am worried that I'll have to replace the governor tho. I know I should've done it before hand, but money was tight. So far its only held on to 1st gear once, this morning, and after that it was perfect. Not a big deal.
So Im wondering what this code is. Which sensor should I be looking at? It has never done this before. If the system is running lean due to this, would it be O2 sensor?
Also the trans seems to be alittle overfull. Will that cause a problem? Will the trans just burp out what it doesnt need? Or will this cause a different problem? The fluid level shows up to the word AND on dipstick. I belive its about 1/2 to 3/4 qt overfull. If its a problem im just gonna get a little squeeze hand pump and a tube and suck it out dip tube.
