I am in need of serious help. I own a 93 EB 4x4 and I had trans fluid in my vacum lines and I had the caps replaced along with the trans vacum modulator. I'm still getting the same problems. How to I remove the fluid from the lines that was already there and do I need to replace all the hoses along with the caps or will it simply burn off. Please let me know how to take care of this before my explorer breaks down on me.
Also if anyone can think of any reason why the 4x4 would just stop working please let me know that to.

Fluid still in the lines after replacing the VMV is kind of weird... You would think running the truck after replacing the VMV would get rid of the leftover fluid. At least, it did for me.

As for the 4x4, your shift motor probably needs to be pulled out and have the contacts cleaned... Can you still hear clicking from the cargo area when you press the 4x4 button?
