i would say no.. just do it right and put a new seal in it lol

if you're like me and you dont care about your front or if you want to just get through till you have the cash to do it right, the brake fluid trick will restore any seeping rubber seal

brake fluid will cause the rubber to expand

a small amount of brake fluid shouldnt hurt your front axle, so it make a good temporary fix (and it also works in steering applications too)
