ok, i got a 1999 exploder sport. 4.0 SOHC. the transmission the other day decided that it just didnt want to go to park, 2nd, or 1st anymore. i've asked a friend and he thinks its a linkage issue and i just havent had the time to look at it working long hours. i'm wondering if anyone has had similar issues and whether its an internal issue or not.

Check the connection where the shift cable connects to the transmission. It might have disconnected.

ok, so does it need to be in any certain gear position when i start the adjustment? cause i cant even get the pointer into the Park position. i'm gonna try the under dash adjustment first cause everything on the tranny looks like its connected linkage wise.
