Hey Explorer forum people!
Is there any adjustments that can be made to how the tranny behaves?
I'm looking for crisper shifting through the whole range but specifically on initial acceleration off the line.
Ok.ok OK just call me a leadfoot 😆👍👍

You probably should look into custom tuning. This would also allow the engine to be tuned to pick up around 25 hp at the wheels. Basically, you get the same gain the 3V Mustang owners get. You should get a CAI if you go this route.

CAI ???? A good tranny shop would be ones to contact ???

CIA=Cold Air Intake. This improves breathing and can help get more horsepower from a custom tune. Modifying the shift behavior of a transmission isn't going to do much for performance on its own. You are better off getting a custom tune done which will add around 25 hp at the wheels. Other than forced induction, it is probably the best bang for the buck modification you can do. Custom tuning is not something a transmission shop can do but a good tuner can adjust the behavior of the transmission quite a bit as part of the tuning process.
