Delayed reverse is a common problem on these transmissions. It is nothing serious. There are several fixes, some work for some folks, and some don't. The main fix is to replace the seals on the low/reverse servo. You have to drop the pan and remove the valve body to do this..candidly, I live with it and wait. Not to worry.

lol... live with it and wait<--- thats my motto. anyway, could this result in the reverse not working at all?

There are 2 options for better seals than the stock O rings. Here is the information: 23256K double wiper low/reverse servo kit($1.52), Transtec viton seal kit for the low/reverse servo 23256KA ($2.70).

thank you all for the info...
