92 Explorer 4 x 4 - We have flushed the system, adjusted the bands and replaced the battery.
Under acceleration in either drive or OD the truck shifts through all of the gears. In high gear however and; after releasing the gas pedal, the truck acts like it has gone into neutral and only recovers when the vehicle has slowed.
As long as we have our foot stuffed in it everything is okay but let off it just coast away.
I really can not afford a trans at the present time and do not feel confident in undertaking A/T rebuild myself so; I am looking for a miracle ie; bad switch, servo, loose wire, hose etc.
One thing; the fluid is multipurpose I am advised is now the norm and several parts stores said straight Mercon is no longer available. What ever happened either "F" or "Dextron" as a choice?
