Trans/t-case information

Can someone tell me where I can find out what trans and t-case I have in my X? I have a 1995, XLT 4 door. I would also like to know if I can find a manual t-case that will bolt to my trans. Thanks for any help.

Mark you have the 4R55E & Borg Warner Control Trac 4405 Transfer case from what I can remember.

Yes, a BW1354 from a Ford Ranger of 91-94 explorer. The swap has been covered many times, a search will yeild many how-to threads with photos. A DIYer should be able to do it in his driveway.

Make sure you grab the linkage as well, I hear they are hard to come by. You'll also want to grab a 2wd GEM computer module for your year, to eliminate any computer and warning light issues.
