I just got a rebuilt A4LD installed about 2 weeks ago. In the morning, i'll drive all the way down the street in first because it wont shift. If im moving onto a faster pace road, ill start in 2 (second) . Why wont it shift until it gets warmed up a little ? While im going down the road in 2, ill put it up into OD and the rpm's will drop, but when i touch the accelorator, the rpm's go up but i dont accelerate. And, right when it starts shifting itself, my check engne light comes on. Any relations ? When i shut the engine off, start it back up, the check engine light will come on after about 5 minutes of driving. Is there anything i can do to fix this ? Or does it need to break in ? If i hit anything above 3k rpm's it feels like it wants to pop out of gear. Thanks for the hints and tips.

you may have a sticking governer. Mine is doing the same thing right now to. I am gonna have to take my governer out and clean it cause the littest pieces of crud can make em stick. Mine was just rebuilt about 2 weeks ago.
