Hi Everyone,
FIRST, let me thank everyone that has shared their knowledge on this site, it's awesome! Anyway... I have a question about my Ranger...
I have a 2000 Ranger 3.0 V-6 (flex) that i bought brand new. At about 120,000 miles i had to replace the Transfer case (WRNR 1354,YL54-AA), the T-case was a salvaged unit with 56,000 miles on it. Now the truck has 168,000 and I am experiencing the same symptoms as i did before i replaced the T-case the first time. (binding when backing up in 2 WD, and I hear a slight rattle when coasting in Drive). My question is... What are some other issues that could be causing the premature destruction of these 2 T-Cases?
I appreciate any information anyone can provide.
