Transfer case shift motor

If i pull the tcase shift motor will i lose any fluid? That may be a dumb question but id like to know what im getting into before i do it.

No fluid leak when you pull it off. Are you rebuilding it?

Im having issues shifting to 4low and the switch seems okay so im going to check the motor next. Clean it up as much as i can. Is there a rebuild kit? Or is just cleaning the hell out of good enough?

There's a thread on rebuilding it, it's probably a sticky in the transmission forum. Most often it's a tiny bushing inside the falls apart. A fairly easy fix.
