I need everyones help. I have a 91 X with the electric shift transfer case. When I take it out of 4X4 the light on the dash goes out, but it takes 100 to 400 yards for the transfer case to come out of the 4X4 mode. Is this normal? I have checked the shift motor and it works fine. I have also checked the auto-hubs and they always un-lock without a problem. The transmission guy has had it apart twice to replace worn parts. He says it is normal for the rtansfer case to take a little while to unlock. Could other X owners please tell me if thier X also does this. Thanks......
