transmission and diff fluids front and rear

How much fluid does the transmission or the diffs take? and how have you guys gone about changing them/ filling them.


and what would you guys use in them?

I dont feel like paying ford 200$ to do my tranny when i can do it myself.

The manual doesnt say how much fluid it takes. So im curious.

P.S. If you say use the "search button". Do it yourself and post a thread with the info i need. I cant find one...

A complete fill of the transmission, to include converter, cooler, and lines is 12.7 quarts. Use Motorcraft MERCON V Automatic Transmission Fluid XT-5-QM

Rear diff is 1.75 quarts, for my 2004 3.55 open diff my manual says to use SAE 75W-140

Front diff is 1.35 quarts Motorcraft SAE 80W-90 Premium
