Transmission Change Question

I just bought a 2004 sport trac and it has 35000 miles and i need to know if i should change the fluid. the owner manual does'nt says any thing about when to change it. i went online to fords www.genuineservice.com and i got to see the full maintenance schedule for 2004 ford sport trac and the only thing it showed was to change the fluid and change the filter at 150000 miles.
I have the transmission with the dipstick under the hood. This contradicts what my ford dealer said i should change at 30000 miles. Is he right or should i go by the full maintenance schedule that ford said?

well does it look dirty or is it shifting bad?

No it doesn't shift bad, but i found out that it had an additive added under warranty and should't this fluid be changed to get the correct fluid in it.

Replace the fluid with Mercon V every 30k miles.
