Installed a Cooler today. Took 3 hours and was harder that the Air Bag install I did this Morning.

Only Concern is if my Location will allow enough air to cool it. But I do have the option to mount 3 more cooler is if wish, but that is just crazy.

I used the B&M Rated at 19,000 GVW.

Looks good , does your tranny shift any different since it runs cooler?

i thought explorers came with tranny coolers from 95+ since they had a horrible time with the 91-94 trannies

I have a factory one on my '97 with about the same size if not bigger. Maybe not all 2nd gen has one.

mine has a factory external (from radiator) tranny cooler :) but hahaha funny as i have no tranny....

i think they came from the factory if you got the trailer tow package

Then I have one confused Explorer. I have the connector at the rear for the wiring, but no tranny cooler. I can't figure out if I have it or not. Another thing that leads me to it, I have 3.73s w/LS

I have the factory cooler but no factory hitch.

Where is this connector at the rear for the wiring?

it is trim clipped into the inside of the rear bumper....

factory hitch? exploeres until recently didnt come with a 2" receiver hitch.... however, they had a step in the rear bumper rated as a class 2 ball mount

Oh, I see. So a step bumper with class 2 ball mount is what they considered a tow package?
