What is the proper change interval for automatic transmission fluid assuming severe duty? The maintenance schedule that came with the truck says the change interval is every 20,000 miles (under severe duty) for the 5.0L and 48,000 miles (also severe duty) for the 4.0L. For normal duty, it says to change transmission fluid for the 5.0L every 36,000 miles and I could not even find where is said to change it for the 4.0L. Is this right? If so, why is there a difference based on the type of engine? My fluid know has 20K miles on it and looks very clean. I drive over 15 miles every day in stop and go traffic and pull a fairly large boat on weekends so I especially concerned about the change interval. Thanks!!

Yes, damn it, Hank, I want one too.

Where are you going to mount the filter?

Still pondering that question in life.... Right now the big in-line filter is just hanging by the hose... Will advise and put pics up in the holy post..
