So When I was getting ready to leave to go to work, I noticed when I was backing up a TON of fluid on the pavement. SO I took off the bottom plastic molding and more fluid fell out.

The fluid was red and oily. So I checked the trasmission fluid level, and it was zip. The fluid is shooting out down near the radiatior, I looked all around there and couldent find were it was comming from, :dunno:

were is the transmission fluid line running?

Sorry I had to go to work and didnt have the time to trouble shoot it. ANy suggestions, or pictures would help so I can fix it when I get home.

It's gotta be coming from the trans oil cooler up front there...check lines are tight first...

thats what im thinking, but Im not sure which lines are which, LOL, guess Ill just have to look tommorow morning, BTW is there a specific tranny fluid I should get, since its leaking should I just refill it, or drain and put new fluid in? Ive never changed transmission fluid before, well just because ive always had manuals! :p:

Did you find your problem?

Don't forget the power steering system uses tranny fluid and could be the one leaking also.

The normal route of tranny lines if you have the cooler is from tranny to radiator, radiator to tranny cooler, tranny cooler to tranny.

It was the radiator. Got a *new-ish one from a junk yard for $120. Better than $300 new one. When I replaced it, one of the metal lines snapped, So I tried making one out of a brake line. Didnt work, SO I just jerry-rigged it until I can get one from ford.
