Hi!

I had a problem where the transmission cooler line wasn't well connected to the radiator and it started leaking the oil like crazy. I refilled it, but it seems I overdid it just a tad bit. After running in hot, and while parked (running) I checked the oil stick and the oil was maybe an inch above the cross hatched area, sightly above the T of the "Don't overfill...."

Should I leave it like that or should I drain it a bit? I am receiving conflicting reports... some say leave it like that, others say it will screw my transmission or maybe the car will catch fire and I am at a lost on what to do.

I would disconnect one of the rubber cooler lines and drain a little bit out. If the stick says don't overfill, then don't. We could debate here as to whether or not damage will result, but right thing to do is pretty clear and not too difficult.
