Fellow gluttons for punishment!!
'93 Ford Explorer XLT Auto AC
Please HELP!
I was replacing my radiator in what was shaping up to be a simple, one hour job (including new hoses!!). When I got to the FINAL (!!!!) fastener to be removed (the lower transmission line going into the radiator), I managed to tweak the metal line and round off the fitting nut!!!
AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
What do I do??
Replace the entire steel transmission line??
Splice-in the short steel piece that is bent?? Cut, flare, join??
or,
Splice in a short piece of rubber hose???
My inclination is to do the first two with the third being my least desired solution. I like things done correctly - UNFORTUNATELY!
The problem is, it looks like a ***** to get that line out at the transmission end.
Has anyone had the pleasure of mucking this up as well as I have? What did you do??
PLEASE HELP ASAP, I'VE GOT ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING, TOMORROW!!
Thanks very much!!
