Transmission oil change question.

I got a 2002 ford explorer eddie bauer edition i need a transmission oil change and was wondering if i could do it my self. i dont really want to pay 250+ if i can do it my self so please help me out on what should i do.

you have to pump the fluid up into the pan and it could get messy.

you have to pump the fluid up into the pan and it could get messy.

This means you cannot simply pour the fresh fluid down a pipe and into the transmission; there is no pipe!

So, unless you are pretty well-setup to delve into this kind of project, it can be a bit difficult. There are numerous descriptive threads around here covering this work. imp
