Ok so I got up early this morning to pull of my bw4404 transfer case to do a rebuild and everything came off great. Front/Rear drive shafts and eventually the t-case. I noticed after I pulled the transfer case off that there was a little play in the transmission output shaft. Is there an acceptable amount of play or does it spell disaster for me. lol.. It's not a ton of play but enough that i noticed it. Just wondering if anyone noticed doing a swap or rebuild. Thanks

You mean you just grabbed the output shaft and it moved up and down? Or fore and aft? Fore and aft shouldn't be a lot of play. Up and down will have some play too. The transfer case actually supports the end of that shaft. It's hard to say if what you have is normal or not though without seeing it myself.

It's a small amount up and down, nothing i can see as far as in moving in and out.
